eBay: This 1967 Buick Sport Wagon Is All Original and Ready To Be Cruised With The Family

We’re guessing that the kids who cruised around in the back of this 1967 Buick Sport Wagon didn’t really love it as much as we’re loving it right now. We’re guessing those kids were excited at first about the 10 minutes about the glass panels in the roof and then this thing just became the family transportation. The guy who bought this car was likely pretty proud of it. It got the good wheels, it got the good trim package with the wood grain, it got air conditioning, a tilt wheel, and it is packing a three speed automatic.

This car has a 340ci Buick engine in it and we’re guessing that there’s a 4bbl carb on it. This engine was rated at 260hp. This engine makes the car even cooler because it was basically a one year only piece, used as a kind of stop gap measure. The 340 was a stroked version of the 300ci engine which had been around a couple of years. In 1968 the Buick 350 would come in and last until 1980. The little 340 could be had with a two or four barrel carb in this car and the transmissions were a two speed automatic, a three speed automatic, and a three speed manual.

The factory claimed the car could get to 60 in 9.2 seconds and it could run the drag strip in 16.2 seconds. Numbers that are reasonably sporty for a family station wagon.

A couple of weeks ago I posted a relatively bone stock Chevy II and said that it should be hot rodded. Lots of people jumped my car about that (not complaining!). I have their opinion with this car. Leave it as is, an awesome time capsule of what the great American station wagon was at during the height of its most awesome.
