Miss Common Wealth South Africa seeks to empower young women in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Miss Common Wealth South Africa is a leadership program for young women in South Africa. A Charity crown at the core of communities in need promoting racial harmony, poverty eradication and social cohesion.

Through the program, Team Miss Common Wealth strives to build female leaders that will have great influence in their communities as they also pursue their own dreams.

“Our team builds women of influence by addressing issues that hinder young women from aspiring to hold key positions in our country. We ensure that young women get exposure to entrepreneurship education , leadership further introducing young women to self-love. This is to ensure that they will not be apologetic regarding their visions, they will learn to dream big and that it is okay to put themselves first ” says Ms Ngawethu Ka-
Siphiwo .Ms Ka-Siphiwo is the National Director of the program in South Africa.

On the 21 March, the organisation will host a free empowerment workshop for young women at Isango Gate Boutique Hotel located in Summerstrand, arrival time is 11h00. Isango Gate Hotel supports empowerment initiatives ensuring that there is visible change in the lives of young women located in the metro.

The main objective of the event is to also unpack some of the key challenges that young women face in their lives giving them skills to deal with those issues. Team Miss Common Wealth will achieve such by allowing some great speakers to add value to the delegates, motivate and challenge future leaders to be the best version of themselves. The workshop will also encourage networking of delegates with the hope that they will collaborate on initiatives that will a positive contribution to their lives changing the face of the Metro.

On the 20th March , a day before the workshop Miss Common Wealth SA will also visit Coega Door of hope Children’s home to spend time with children and donating some items.
